The mother of Sandy Hook victim Grace McDonnell has been called and taunted by a self-proclaimed Sandy Hook “truther.” The man insisted that the killings were a government hoax and that the 7-year-old Grace McDonnell was never shot and killed — because he says the girl didn’t exist in the first place.
Grace’s mother, Lynn McDonnell, was told about the theft of a memorial sign by the man who called her claiming to be a “truther.” The thief told McDonnell that he stole the sign because he claims the school massacre was a government hoax.
Sandy Hook “truthers” are conspiracy theorists who insist the gruesome killings were made up by the government to help make stricter gun laws and even possibly to start taking guns away from citizens, reports the Inquisitr. According to their belief, Grace never lived in the first place and her parents are actors.
“There’s still a lot of ignorance and evil out there that someone could do something like that,” Lavin, the creator of the Where Angels Play foundation.
On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza murdered 20 children and six adult staff members at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The massacre came after he had killed his mother at their home which was close to the school, and is one of the most infamous shootings in modern times.
A little less than a year later, the final report on the shooting said that Lanza, who committed suicide after the mass shootings, acted alone. It went on to state that Lanza was obsessed with firearms and ammunition, as well as mass murders, including the 1999 shootings at Columbine High School in Colorado.
